Why Are Trump’s Troops Training ISIS Terrorists? | Global Research – Centre for Research on Globalization

When Donald Trump ran for the U.S. Presidency, his biggest foreign-affairs promise (which he copied from Ted Cruz) was to defeat “radical Islamic terrorism”; but, on December 27th, the Russian Government publicly accused Trump’s military of backing ISIS terrorists to fight against Syria’s Government (which is allied with Russia). Russia’s RT international television network headlined “US lets militants train, mount attacks from its Syrian bases – chief of Russian General Staff”, and opened:

The US is hosting training camps for militant groups in Syria, including former ISIS fighters who fled from Raqqa, said the head of Russia’s General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, citing data obtained by aerial surveillance.

The US forces have effectively turned their military base near the town of al-Tanf in southeastern Syria into a terrorists’ training camp, Gerasimov said in an interview to Russia’s Komsomolskaya Pravda daily on Wednesday.

“According to satellite and other surveillance data, terrorist squads are stationed there. They are effectively training there, Gerasimov said. …

Barely over a month earlier, the BBC had headlined on November 13th, “Raqqa’s Dirty Secret: The BBC has uncovered details of a secret deal that let hundreds of IS fighters and their families escape from Raqqa, under the gaze of the US and British-led coalition and Kurdish-led forces who control the city.” One lorry driver told BBC, “We took out around 4,000 people including women and children — our vehicle and their vehicles combined. When we entered Raqqa, we thought there were 200 people to collect. In my vehicle alone, I took 112 people.” The reporter noted, “Another driver says the convoy was six to seven kilometres long.” Furthermore: “IS fighters took everything they could carry. Ten trucks were loaded with weapons and ammunition. The drivers point to a white truck being worked on in the corner of the yard. ‘Its axle was broken because of the weight of the ammo,’ says Abu Fawzi [a lorry driver].”

So: America’s ISIS training camps might have thousands of extremely well-armed fighters to pay (by the Sauds) and train (by the Americans) to fight against Bashar al-Assad’s forces — prolonging the war against Syria, continuing the Syrian carnage.

The Fukushima Nuclear Meltdown Continues Unabated | Global Research – Centre for Research on Globalization

31-12-17 05:19:00,

Featured image: Satellite image shows damage at Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant (via ecowatch.com).

Dr Helen Caldicott explains recent robot photos taken of Fukushima’s Daiichi nuclear reactors: radiation levels have not peaked, but have continued to spill toxic waste into the Pacific Ocean — but it’s only now the damage has been photographed.

*

Recent reporting of a huge radiation measurement at Unit 2 in the Fukushima Daichi reactor complex does not signify that there is a peak in radiation in the reactor building.

All that it indicates is that, for the first time, the Japanese have been able to measure the intense radiation given off by the molten fuel, as each previous attempt has led to failure because the radiation is so intense the robotic parts were functionally destroyed.

The radiation measurement was 530 sieverts, or 53,000 rems (Roentgen Equivalent for Man). The dose at which half an exposed population would die is 250 to 500 rems, so this is a massive measurement. It is quite likely had the robot been able to penetrate deeper into the inner cavern containing the molten corium, the measurement would have been much greater.

These facts illustrate why it will be almost impossible to “decommission” units 1, 2 and 3 as no human could ever be exposed to such extreme radiation. This fact means that Fukushima Daichi will remain a diabolical blot upon Japan and the world for the rest of time, sitting as it does on active earthquake zones.

Robot image of Fukushima Daiichi Unit 2 reactor (Source: tepco.co.jp)

What the photos taken by the robot did reveal was that some of the structural supports of Unit 2 have been damaged. It is also true that all four buildings were structurally damaged by the original earthquake some five years ago and by the subsequent hydrogen explosions so, should there be an earthquake greater than seven on the Richter scale, it is very possible that one or more of these structures could collapse, leading to a massive release of radiation as the building fell on the molten core beneath.

One day after President Donald Trump invited Republican lawmakers to the White House to celebrate the historic tax cuts they passed for corporations and wealthy business leaders, his attorney general, Jeff Sessions, quietly reinstated a draconian policy that effectively serves as a regressive tax on America’s poorest people.

A symbol of Victorian England’s inequitable nature made infamous by Charles Dickens, debtors’ prisons were banned in the United States in 1833. The Supreme Court has affirmed the unconstitutionality of jailing those too poor to pay debts on three different occasion in the last century, finding that the 14th Amendment prohibits incarceration for non-payment of exorbitant court-imposed fines or fees without an assessment of a person’s ability to pay and alternatives for those who cannot. “Punishing a person for his poverty” is illegal, the Court said. Yet in recent years the modern-day equivalent of debtors’ prisons have returned, as cities have grown to rely on a punishing regime of fines and fees imposed on their own residents as a major stream of revenue.

Routine traffic tickets or even overdue student loan payments can set off a cycle of debt that also includes the suspension of a driver’s license or professional license and, in some cases, jail time. A suspended driver’s license makes it nearly impossible to get to work. When a person can’t pay, courts add more fines on top of the original. If those fees aren’t paid, a jail sentence is imposed. Incarceration is also often meted out to low-income defendants facing misdemeanor charges who cannot afford to pay bond ahead of a court date.

John F. Kennedy on Nuclear War and the Threats to World Peace: “Together we Shall Save our Planet, or We shall Perish in its Flames” | Global Research – Centre for Research on Globalization

30-12-17 08:37:00,

The world is at a dangerous crossroads. The threat of nuclear annihilation is real.

What distinguishes October 1962 to today’s realities is that the leaders on both sides, namely John F. Kennedy and Nikita S. Khrushchev were accutely aware of the dangers of nuclear annihilation.

In contrast, today’s president Donald Trump does not have the foggiest idea as to the consequences of nuclear war.

The nuclear doctrine was entirely different during the Cold War. Both Washington and Moscow understood the realities of mutually assured destruction. Today, the issue of nuclear annihilation is tacitly dismissed.

Communication today between the White House and the Kremlin is at an all time low. International diplomacy is is crisis.

Forward JFK’s 1961 message far and wide to friends and colleagues. Bear in mind that “MISTAKES” are often what determine the course of World History. A Pre-emptive first strike US nuclear attack against North Korea  could potentially precipitate a Third World War.

Michel Chossudovsky, December 30, 2017

President John F. Kennedy

New York City

September 25, 1961

Mr. President, honored delegates, ladies and gentlemen:

We meet in an hour of grief and challenge. Dag Hammarskjold is dead. But the United Nations lives. His tragedy is deep in our hearts, but the task for which he died is at the top of our agenda. A noble servant of peace is gone. But the quest for peace lies before us.

The problem is not the death of one man–the problem is the life of this organization. It will either grow to meet the challenges of our age, or it will be gone with the wind, without influence, without force, without respect. Were we to let it die, to enfeeble its vigor, to cripple its powers, we would condemn our future.

For in the development of this organization rests the only true alternative to war–and war appeals no longer as a rational alternative. Unconditional war can no longer lead to unconditional victory. It can no longer serve to settle disputes. It can no longer concern the great powers alone.

Geoengineering Watch Global Alert News, December 30, 2017, #125

The top US Marine Corps General has just stated on the record that the US will soon be at war. Should this come as any surprise? Creating chaos and carnage is something that the power structure has always done, all too often using the US military as their primary tool. The victims of the US military are not always in other parts of the world. Recent studies reveal that the US military nuclear tests in Nevada likely killed nearly half a million Americans, a fact that has been hidden from the masses. Is climate engineering (AKA weather warfare / biological warfare) the current weapon of choice for the power structure? Why are so many scientists willing to participate in the geoengineering insanity? Interview excerpts from a now deceased geoengineering insider are contained in this week’s broadcast. The latest installment of Global Alert News is below.

The geoengineered Christmas holiday cool-down continues for parts of the US and Canada while most of the world remains at far above average temperatures.

889i

The extremely anomalous and sharply contrasting temperature zones in the US are not a result of nature. If the “departure from normal high temperature” map above is examined, there is very clearly an arc of below normal temperatures (this is only on the surface of the planet) starting from the Hawaiian Islands, continuing through Alaska and Canada, and then back down to the middle and eastern portions of the US. As has been outlined so many times at GeoengineeringWatch.org, the counter clockwise rotating “ridiculously resilient ridge” of ionosphere heater induced high pressure steers all the Pacific moisture completely up and over the already drought stricken US West. This moisture is then bombarded with patented chemical ice nucleating elements (by the climate engineers). The process radically cools surface temperatures in the targeted regions which include the most populated zones of the US. The Geoengineered holiday cool-down is in so many ways a psychological operation, creating the illusion of a brutal winter on a planet that is spiraling into total meltdown. Mr. Trump’s recent tweet clearly  illustrates the psychological usefulness of the geoengineered cool-downs:

The geoengineers continue to fuel the division and confusion of the masses in regard to the true state of the climate and biosphere unraveling.

More American Troops to Afghanistan, To Keep the Chinese Out? Lithium and the Battle for Afghanistan’s Mineral Riches

More American Troops to Afghanistan, To Keep the Chinese Out? Lithium and the Battle for Afghanistan’s Mineral Riches

28-12-17 10:12:00,

This article was first published by GR on September 18, 2017

Trump calls for escalation of the war in Afghanistan. Why? Is it part of the “Global War on Terrorism”, going after the bad guys, or is it something else?

Unknown to the broader public, Afghanistan has significant oil, natural gas and strategic raw material resources, not to mention opium, a multibillion dollar industry which feeds America’s illegal heroin market.

These mineral reserves include huge veins of iron, copper, cobalt, gold and lithium, which is a strategic raw material used in the production of high tech batteries for laptops, cell phones and electric cars.

The implication of Trump’s resolve is to plunder and steal Afghanistan’s mineral riches to finance the “reconstruction” of a country destroyed by the US and its allies after 16 years of war, i.e  “War reparations” paid to the aggressor nation?

Screenshot: The Independent.

An internal 2007 Pentagon memo, quoted by the New York Times suggests that Afghanistan could become the “Saudi Arabia of lithium.” (New York Times, U.S. Identifies Vast Mineral Riches in Afghanistan – NYTimes.com, June 14, 2010, See also BBC, 14 June 2010, see also Michel Chossudovsky, Global Research, 2010).

While it could take many years to develop a mining industry, the potential is so great that officials and executives in the industry believe it could attract heavy investment…

“There is stunning potential here,” Gen. David H. Petraeus, commander of the United States Central Command, said… “There are a lot of ifs, of course, but I think potentially it is hugely significant.”

“This will become the backbone of the Afghan economy,” said Jalil Jumriany, an adviser to the Afghan minister of mines. (New York Times, op. cit.)

What this 2007 report does not mention is that this resource base has been known to both Russia (Soviet Union) and China going back to the 1970s.

While the Afghan government of President Ashraf Ghani has called upon President Donald Trump to promote US. investments in mining, including lithium, China is in the forefront in developing projects in mining and energy as well as pipeline projects and transport corridors.

Panic of Boris Johnson in Moscow – Agony of Rotting Empire

Panic of Boris Johnson in Moscow – Agony of Rotting Empire

28-12-17 05:19:00,

by Andre Vltchek

Johnson and Lavrov at Moscow meeting

It has been all very ugly, aggressive and often distinctly vulgar: the way the British Foreign Secretary has behaved before and during his official visit to Moscow.

Mr. Johnson described Russia as “closed, nasty, militaristic and anti-democratic” concluding that it could not be “business as usual”.

He did not define what the UK has become, and the Russian hosts were too polite to explain.

The “business as usual” it was not.

During the last few weeks, the behavior patterns of both the UK and US have began increasingly to resemble those of the badly brought up leadership of the provincial Italian mafia: “You do as we tell you, or we’ll poke out your eyes… or break your leg… or perhaps we’ll kidnap your daughter”.

It appears that there is absolutely no shame left in Washington, in London, and in several other ‘provincial capitals’ of the Empire. Insults are piling on insults and then shot to all corners of the globe. Lies are being spread barefacedly, and bizarre deceptions and fabrications have been manufactured with impressive speed.

It is clear that the Empire is now missing its composure, its nerve; that it is scared of losing its control over the world and its monopoly on deciding what should be universally accepted as the truth.

The more the world realizes that it has been controlled and brutalized by shameless neo-colonialist gangsters, the more the Empire says, indirectly but sometimes even straight into the faces of the international community: “Our interests are what really matter! You will behave and obey, or we will smash you to pieces, starve you to death, invade you and bathe your land in blood”.

It is nothing new, of course: the West has been doing all this for many decades and centuries. Hundreds of millions of Asians, Africans, South Americans, Middle Easterners and Russians lost their lives in the process. All non-white continents were occupied, plundered and enslaved; all, without a single exception. But it was always done “for the good of the victims”, or “in order to protect them” (most likely from themselves).

The Brits were at the forefront of the art of manipulating the brains of their ‘subjects’.

Homeland Security’s Multibillion Dollar Comedy Show | Global Research – Centre for Research on Globalization

Homeland Security’s Multibillion Dollar Comedy Show | Global Research – Centre for Research on Globalization

28-12-17 01:57:00,

After the 9/11 attacks, Congress and the Bush administration pretended that unlimited federal spending was one of the best ways to thwart terrorist threats. In 2002, Congress created the Homeland Security Department (DHS), sweeping some of the most inept federal agencies, such as the Secret Service and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), into the new mega-department. Congress also created numerous programs — some run directly by FEMA — to shovel out more than $30 billion in anti-terrorism funding to local and state governments.

As Sen. Tom Coburn (R–Okla.) observed a few years ago,

“FEMA’s lax guidelines and oversight made the agency a virtual rubberstamp for most anything that grant recipients creatively justified as related to homeland security — regardless of how loosely related.”

Louisiana Homeland Security grant recipients spent $2,400 for a lapel microphone and $2,700 for a teleprompter. Fort Worth, Texas, spent $24,000 of a federal anti-terrorism grant on a latrine-on-wheels. Other Texas local governments spent Homeland Security grants on “a hog catcher for Liberty County, body bags, garbage bags, Ziploc bags and two 2011 Camaros at $31,000 apiece,” as a Senate report revealed.

DHS approved a Michigan police department’s spending $6,200 of its grant on 13 sno-cone machines. The Senate report noted that local officials “defended the sno-cone purchases saying the machines were needed to treat heat-related emergencies.” DHS also asserted that the machines were “dual purpose” because they “could be used to fill ice packs in an emergency.”

The Jacksonville Urban Area Security Initiative used a DHS grant to produce an 8-minute film entitled “Domestic Terrorism: The First Line of Defense.” The film urged viewers to report any suspicious activity and to be especially wary of people are “alone or nervous” or people “of average or above average intelligence” (unlike the people who made the film). People were also told to be on the lookout for residents who displayed “increased frequency of prayer or religious behavior.” As a Techdirt analysis pointed out,

“Broadly defined ‘suspicious behavior’ is a great way to make every citizen a suspect … and justify every violation of personal privacy. If you need warrantless wiretaps or a reason to indefinitely detain U.S. citizens, all you have to do is start listing everyday activity as ‘suspicious.’”

Anti-terrorism funding has proven to be a boon for the travel industry.

Syrians Are Human Beings. “The West Seeks to Fabricate Sectarianism in Syria” | Global Research – Centre for Research on Globalization

Syrians Are Human Beings. “The West Seeks to Fabricate Sectarianism in Syria” | Global Research – Centre for Research on Globalization

28-12-17 11:03:00,

Syrians are, first and foremost, human beings. The notion that they can be accurately described as Sunnis, or Shias, or Muslims or Christians is misleading. It is a form of xenophobic “Orientalism” that obliterates their humanity. Labelling people according their religious affiliations is an imperial weapon used to create sectarianism. And the West seeks to fabricate sectarianism in Syria.

Syrians in liberated areas of Syria celebrate Christmas, just like we do, but in terrorist-occupied areas Christmas celebrations are forbidden. Such is the success of Canada’s foreign policy. If the Western-supported terrorists were to win, Christmas would not be celebrated in Syria at all. In word and deed, we support anti-Christmas, anti-Everything terrorist proxies in Syria.

When the government and media messaging dehumanizes Syria and Syrians, and the public accepts it, the stage is set for more “regime change” war which has inflicted terrorism on Syria and all Syrians for seven years.

We should follow Syria’s example and consider Syrians first and foremost as human beings. Once they are humanized, it is easier to understand their resistance to the West’s terrorist proxies. When we see Syrians (and those who live in other imperial “prey” nations) for who they really are – rather than as  fictitious depictions of them — we will be better equipped to see that imperialists dehumanize all the peoples and all the leaders of countries that they seek to destroy. Furthermore, we’ll see that they seek to transform their fictitious narratives into self-fulfilling prophecies.  Imperialists create sectarian conflicts. Divide and conquer is a colonial staple. Hate is a weapon of war.

Retrenchment, Robotization and Crypto-Currencies: The Runaway Train Towards Full Digitization of Money and Labor | Global Research – Centre for Research on Globalization

28-12-17 11:02:00,

The other day I was in a shopping mall looking for an ATM to get some cash. There was no ATM. A week ago, there was still a branch office of a local bank – no more, gone. A Starbucks will replace the space left empty by the bank. I asked around – there will be no more cash automats in this mall – and this pattern is repeated over and over throughout Switzerland and throughout western Europe. Cash machines gradually but ever so faster disappear, not only from shopping malls, also from street corners. Will Switzerland become the first country fully running on digital money?

This new cashless money model is progressively but brutally introduced to the Swiss and Europeans at large – as they are not told what’s really happening behind the scene. If anything, the populace is being told that paying will become much easier. You just swipe your card – and bingo. No more signatures, no more looking for cash machines – your bank account is directly charged for whatever small or large amount you are spending. And naturally and gradually a ‘small fee’ will be introduced by the banks. And you are powerless, as a cash alternative will have been wiped out.

The upward limit of how much you may charge onto your bank account is mainly set by yourself, as long as it doesn’t exceed the banks tolerance. But the banks’ tolerance is generous. If you exceed your credit, the balance on your account quietly slides into the red and at the end of the month you pay a hefty interest; or interest on unpaid interest – and so on. And that even though interbank interest rates are at a historic low. The Swiss Central Bank’s interest to banks, for example, is even negative; one of the few central banks in the world with negative interest, others include Japan and Denmark.

When I talked recently to the manager of a Geneva bank, he said, it’s getting much worse. ‘We are already closing all bank tellers, and so are most of the other banks’. Which means staff layoffs – which of course makes it only selectively to the news. Bank employees and managers must pass an exam with the Swiss banking commission,

One in Four at Risk of Hunger in Silicon Valley

One in Four at Risk of Hunger in Silicon Valley

28-12-17 10:45:00,

Silicon Valley and its leading tech firms are in some ways wreaking havoc on the communities they take over.

Although the name “Silicon Valley” has become synonymous with extreme levels of wealth, many of the people living outside the tech-world bubble are worried about just getting enough to eat.

A study conducted by The Guardian suggests that 26.8 percent of the Northern California area’s population is considered “food insecure”—missing meals or relying on food banks.

The Guardian reports:

In a region famed for its foodie culture, where the well-heeled can dine on gold-flecked steaks, $500 tasting menus and $29 loaves of bread, hunger is alarmingly widespread, according to a new study shared exclusively with the Guardian.

One in four people in Silicon Valley are at risk of hunger, researchers at the Second Harvest food bank have found. Using hundreds of community interviews and data modeling, a new study suggests that 26.8% of the population – almost 720,000 people – qualify as “food insecure” based on risk factors such as missing meals, relying on food banks or food stamps, borrowing money for food, or neglecting bills and rent in order to buy groceries. Nearly a quarter are families with children.

“We call it the Silicon Valley paradox,” says Steve Brennan, the food bank’s marketing director. “As the economy gets better we seem to be serving more people.” Since the recession, Second Harvest has seen demand spike by 46%.

Karla Peralta, profiled in The Guardian, is a line cook in Facebook’s cafeteria. The single mother of two has worked in kitchens for years and spends her days preparing free meals for the tech firm’s staff. Yet she must go to a food bank once a month to supplement what she can buy for her family at the grocery store. Three-quarters of her $2,000-a-month pay goes for rent for her small apartment.

That’s one of the other disparities in Silicon Valley: Many tenants are being displaced from their homes so developers can create new housing that often is unaffordable for the previous residents. San Jose, Silicon Valley’s largest city, has a homeless population of more than 4,000.

Aside from these issues, researchers are beginning to look into the larger negative impacts that tech such as smartphones and apps are having on people.

Child Poverty: Asia’s Best Performer – The Globalist

Child Poverty: Asia’s Best Performer – The Globalist

28-12-17 10:31:00,

South Korea performs as well as Nordic economies on avoiding child poverty.

Takeaways

  • South Korea performs as well as Nordic economies on avoiding child poverty.
  • South Korea has one of the lowest relative child poverty rates in the 35-member OECD group of developed countries at just 7%.

1. South Korea has one of the lowest relative child poverty rates in the 35-member OECD group of developed countries at just 7%.

2. Beyond South Korea, the other four OECD countries with notably low levels of child poverty are Nordic countries.

3. They are: Denmark (3%), Finland (4%), as well as Norway and Iceland (7% each, like South Korea). All data are as of 2014.

4. OECD student surveys find that child well-being in South Korea is very good across most indicators, ranging from home life to educational environment to economic security.

5. However, Korean children do not get much exercise outside school.

6. There are also growing concerns about high levels of dissatisfaction among Korean youth about their lives.

7. This negative feeling was closely linked to the feeling of being an “outsider” at school.

8. Due to different standards of living across the globe, there is no absolute income level to define child poverty.

9. So, the OECD defines child poverty as the share of a country’s population under the age of 18 that lives on incomes that are less than half of the nation’s “median post-transfer income.”

10. This reflects family income received via government programs designed to ameliorate the financial situation of low-income parents and their children.

Former Presidents Come Together for Photo-Op | Light On Conspiracies – Revealing the Agenda

Former Presidents Come Together for Photo-Op | Light On Conspiracies – Revealing the Agenda

28-12-17 10:21:00,

By Rachel Blevins

Five former presidents of the United States came together for a hurricane relief benefit, and their photo-op with musician Lady Gaga led to a surprising reaction—the Internet loved it! Not only did the public put politics aside, it also seems to have forgotten about all of the things these men have done to give them a very different title: War Criminal.

We Are Creating Viewer Supported News! Become a Member! Click Here.

“Nothing more beautiful than everyone putting their differences aside to help humanity in the face of catastrophe. #OneAmericaAppeal,” Gaga wrote on Twitter.

Here are a few of the highlights from each presidency:

Jimmy Carter (1977-1981)

After the CIA-sponsored assassination of the first democratically-elected prime minister of Congo in 1961, the brand new Carter administration stepped aside and said nothing as its allies provided the country’s new puppet dictator with military equipment to crush a dissenting movement that broke out in 1977.

Guatemala was also dealing with the effects of U.S. military intervention in 1977, and the horrific conditions included the presence of military death squads that tortured innocent civilians. While Carter claimed to cut off aid to the military government, some reports have argued that this was “little more than a PR stunt while tangible support continued.”

When the South African Defense Forces dropped bombs on innocent civilians in Cassinga, Angola, in 1978, more than 600 Namibians in sovereign Angolan territory were murdered as a result. Carter defended the apartheid government before the UN Security Council to ensure that it would not face sanctions.

George H. W. Bush (1989-1993)

Before the Carter Administration was dealing with the aftermath of CIA-sponsored intervention around the world, George H. W. Bush was serving as the Director of Central Intelligence beginning in 1976. His term lasted for just 355 days.

Bush then went on to become president in 1989, and he launched Operation Desert Storm in 1990. The argument was that Iraq had amassed 250,000 troops and 1,500 tanks on the border with Saudi Arabia, according to “top-secret satellite images.”

Dirt Boxes: The Newest Government Tool for Warrantless Privacy Invasion

Dirt Boxes: The Newest Government Tool for Warrantless Privacy Invasion

28-12-17 10:16:00,

That plane flying overhead could very well be scooping up your most intimate data, especially if you live in Texas. The Texas National Guard has reportedly equipped two of its RC-26 military aircraft with cell phone data-collecting dragnets, known as dirt boxes. The ability of government agencies to add new modifications to their aerial surveillance capabilities without any real oversight should sound an alarm for all Americans, not just those who live in the Lone Star State.

Dirt boxes are one of the top cell site simulators, devices that mimic cell towers and fool phones into sharing data with them. While the Department of Justice (DOJ) has advised agencies not to collect the actual content of phone calls or messages without warrants, the simulators have the ability to do so. Additionally, these tools can record and listen to calls as they occur, block phones from sending and receiving calls, and collect metadata and geolocation data, allowing law enforcement officials to track the exact location of any phone user in the area. Just the metadata alone can paint a very specific picture of the individual sending it.

“They indiscriminately gather information on countless innocent people who have the misfortune of being in the vicinity of a suspect target,” said Stephanie Lacambra, criminal defense staff attorney at the Electronic Frontier Foundation. “They also disproportionately burden minority communities.”

The D.C. Court of Appeals recently ruled that law enforcement use of cell site simulators—which were originally intended for terror and military investigations—without a warrant violates Americans’ Fourth Amendment rights. However, law enforcement agencies around the country have routinely flouted such orders, deploying the devices in a variety of non-terror and non-military cases without warrants. For example, the NYPD has used cell site simulators without a warrant more than a 1,000 times since 2008.

Further complicating matters, the Texas National Guard is not actually a law enforcement agency, but a military entity, so it’s unclear whether privacy protections apply to simulators under their control.

“Because the National Guard is under the jurisdiction of the Department of Defense, they are not necessarily bound by the policies regulating cell site simulator use promulgated by the Department of Justice and Department of Homeland Security,” Lacambra said.

Civil Servants Are Deliberately Destroying Documents from the UK’s National Archive | Global Research – Centre for Research on Globalization

27-12-17 10:52:00,

In yet another galling example of historical revisionism put into practice, the Guardian reported Tuesday that thousands of documents from the National Archives have gone missing in recent years – and some may have been deliberately destroyed by civil servants hoping to purge unflattering details about the UK’s abuses of power from the historical record.

Per the Guardian:

Thousands of government papers detailing some of the most controversial episodes in 20th-century British history have vanished after civil servants removed them from the country’s National Archives and then reported them as lost.

Documents concerning the Falklands war, Northern Ireland’s Troubles and the infamous Zinoviev letter – in which MI6 officers plotted to bring about the downfall of the first Labour government – are all said to have been misplaced.

Other missing files concern the British colonial administration in Palestine, tests on polio vaccines and long-running territorial disputes between the UK and Argentina.

Almost 1,000 files, each thought to contain dozens of papers, are affected. In most instances the entire file is said to have been mislaid after being removed from public view at the archives and taken back to Whitehall.

The controversy echos another incident from 2013 when a Guardian investigation found that the Foreign Office was storing documents that shed light on the brutality of colonialism from the in a secret bunker, where they would be safe from the public’s prying eyes. According to public records, many of the files that have gone missing this time around were “loaned out” to employees of the Foreign Office, which was responsible for the 2013 incident. Many others were taken by representatives of the Home Office.

The photo above shows a group of elderly Kenyans who were detained and abused during the Mau Mau insurgency

For example, an entire file on the Zinoviev letter scandal is said to have been lost after Home Office civil servants took it away. When approached by the Guardian, the Home Office declined to say why it was taken or when or how it was lost. Nor would its say whether any copies had been made. In some instances, files have been returned with pages missing.

MOBILIZE – The Truth About Cellphones and their effects | Light On Conspiracies – Revealing the Agenda

MOBILIZE – The Truth About Cellphones and their effects | Light On Conspiracies – Revealing the Agenda

26-12-17 03:53:00,

Note from Willem:  I tried my best to make the process of viewing this very important and worthwhile documentary as easy as possible for you. Unfortunately, due to intellectual property issues, I have to ask you to log into Vimeo in order to see this content. You will not be charged anything, this is my gift to you.
Instructions to watch:
To watch Mobilize, which is accessible from December 25th till January the 4th 2018 , please click on the button below.

Click Here to Visit Launch Page

This will take you to Willem’s site, Dutch Anarchy.
Click the play button on the Vimeo player. The trailer will play. When prompted to “rent” or “buy”, click “rent”. A new screen will appear asking you to sign in and pay. No worries! The screening fee is on Dutch Anarchy. In the field labeled as “Apply Promo Code” enter the code: MOBILIZENOW. There is no requirement for further information, an account or a credit card.

In 2011 the World Health Organization stated, “The electromagnetic fields produced by mobile phones are classified by the International Agency for Research on Cancer as possibly carcinogenic to humans.” The cell phone industry has vigorously disputed these findings.

MOBILIZE is an explosive investigative documentary that explores the long-term health effects from cell phone radiation, including brain cancer and infertility. The escalating addictive use of mobile phones and wireless technology has a devastating effect on a physical and psychological level, especially on our children. Therefore this documentary is a must watch for worried parents who want to inform themselves about the harmful effects of mobile phones, in order to be able to protect themselves and their children against it. It is really all about getting informed and start saying the lost word NO, enough. This documentary will help for that.

This politically charged film examines the most recent scientific research and the harsh challenges politicians face trying to pass precautionary legislation. Featuring interviews with expert researchers, mobile phone industry representatives, and prominent politicians, MOBILIZE illuminates how industry’s economic and political influence can corrupt public health.

Mobilize illustrates how the lobbying and legal powers of the mobile phone telecommunications industry have been able to shut down any legislative or judicial attempts to curb emissions (or even educate consumers).

Child Poverty in the United States – The Globalist

Child Poverty in the United States – The Globalist

26-12-17 08:51:00,

The U.S. relative child poverty rate is the worst of the G7 economies.

Takeaways

  • The US relative child poverty rate is the worst of the G7 economies.
  • One in 11 US children lives in extreme poverty, including one in five children below elementary school age.

1. The U.S. relative child poverty rate is the worst of the G7 economies, at 20.2%, according to the OECD.

2. This rate is calculated as the share of a country’s population under the age of 18 that lives on incomes that are less than half of the nation’s “median post-transfer income” (i.e. including welfare assistance income).

3. Notably, Russia’s relative child poverty rate is at about the same level, at 20.7% (as of pre-sanctions data in 2011, the most recently available).

4. Child poverty in the United States is twice the level of Germany’s – and 50% higher than the OECD average.

5. One in 11 U.S. children lives in extreme poverty, including one in five children below elementary school age.

6. Child poverty in the United States is particularly pronounced among non-white ethnic minorities.

7. The Trump Administration’s proposal to significantly cut food assistance and infants’ and children’s health insurance seems likely to worsen things.

8. One key factor in child poverty, especially in Western countries, is the increasing share of single-parent households.

9. The lack of a second income and the absence of affordable childcare is often accompanied by the lack of child support payments from the absent parent.

10. The combination of factors leaves many women and their children in a precarious situation.

NATO Rolls Out Offensive Cyberweapons | New Eastern Outlook

NATO Rolls Out Offensive Cyberweapons | New Eastern Outlook

25-12-17 05:00:00,

US-Army-Cyber-Command

NATO members including the US, UK, Germany, Norway, Spain, Denmark and the Netherlands have begun taking public steps in defining guidelines regarding the deployment of offensive cyberweapons.

Reuters in its article, “NATO mulls ‘offensive defense’ with cyber warfare rules,” would state:

A group of NATO allies are considering a more muscular response to state-sponsored computer hackers that could involve using cyber attacks to bring down enemy networks, officials said.

Reuters would also report:

The doctrine could shift NATO’s approach from being defensive to confronting hackers that officials say Russia, China and North Korea use to try to undermine Western governments and steal technology.

The article also noted that the United States and its allies already possess and have threatened to use cyberweapons offensively, citing the 2010 Sutxnet virus deployed against Iranian nuclear infrastructure as a possible example. Other examples cited of possible applications included shutting down power plants with malware rather than bombing them.

Reuters also reported that NATO was setting up “cyber commands” including one in Estonia apparently intended to launch cyber attacks into Russia.

Extending NATO Aggression into Cyberspace

At face value, a nation developing the ability to defend itself and carry out counterattacks against foreign aggressors, including in cyberspace, appears as legitimate policy.

For NATO, however, its track record of serial aggression and expansion beyond its borders predicated on intentionally false pretexts indicate that the military alliance will simply carry its aggression into cyberspace as well.

The NATO invasion and occupation of Afghanistan followed the attacks on September 11, 2001 on Washington D.C. and New York City. Despite none of the alleged suspects involved in the attack actually coming from Afghanistan, and the government of Afghanistan having played no role in the attacks, NATO would invade and has since occupied the nation for the past 16 years.

The 2003 invasion of Iraq led by the US and other prominent NATO members was predicated entirely on falsehoods. Claims that the Iraqi government at the time possessed chemical and biological weapons later turned out to have been intentionally fabricated to justify an invasion that, by some estimates, cost the lives of over a million Iraqis and thousands of US and European soldiers.

North Korea – UN Security Council’s “Killer Resolution”,15 to 0: Choking a Country into Submission | Global Research – Centre for Research on Globalization

25-12-17 04:45:00,

Pyonyang’s urban skyline, competing with Manhattan and the Trump Tower?

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) is being choked into submission if not starvation by the UN Security Council, by a vote of 15 : 0; i.e. unanimously. None of the 15 UNSC states, let alone the five permanent members, have had the guts to say no to a killer Resolution, drafted and proposed by the United States of America, a name that increasingly stands for international rogue and crime nation.

The New York Times reports on 22 December 2017:

“President Trump has used just about every lever you can use, short of starving the people of North Korea to death, to change their behavior,” the White House homeland security adviser, Thomas P. Bossert, said Tuesday. “And so, we don’t have a lot of room left here to apply pressure to change their behavior.”

Two immediate questions come to mind – first, who is Trump to blackmail the UNSC into punishing nations which do not bend to the empire’s wishes?

Yes, blackmailing, because that’s exactly what is categorically part of the chief rogue’s international behavior. Case in point is the recent UN Resolution to nullify Trump’s unilateral decision to declare Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, when he, the Donald, threatening he would watch closely who would vote against the US, in view of punishing those nations monetarily or with other sanctions; and second, how come Russia and China went along with this literally genocidal program of sanctions contained in this UNSC Resolution?

Both Russia and China know that Washington’s arguments against the DPRK are based on a web of lies. That everything coming out of Washington is a lie, or untruth, or omission of facts – is well known around the globe. But in this case, where two ascending super-powers, Russia and China have the veto right to say NO to these illegal sanctions, it begs the question, why’ didn’t they use their veto?

Even more so, since Russia and China are both also ‘sanctioned’ by Washington for not ‘behaving’, and because Russia and China are natural allies of North Korea. – Why were they going along with Washington’s blackmail? – A veto could have sent a clear message to the sort of preposterous Nikki Haleys and Donald Trumps of this world,

The Power of the Spoken Word | Light On Conspiracies – Revealing the Agenda

The Power of the Spoken Word | Light On Conspiracies – Revealing the Agenda

25-12-17 11:18:00,

By Jeff Street

Most people know that imagination and visualization are potent tools for powerful manifestation.  But many are less familiar with the power of the spoken word and how their voice contributes to the creation of their reality.  When you voice your thoughts, intentions, and desires, especially if you do so passionately, you add substantial energy to them and thereby dramatically increase the chances that they will manifest.

It might not be much of an exaggeration to say that your words are like orders placed with the universe, especially if you repeat the same words frequently and consistently and don’t contradict them with conflicting thoughts, words, and deeds.  Which by the way, is what most people are doing most of the time — having highly contradictory thoughts, words, and actions.  That’s why most people can’t tell they are creating their reality — it’s all canceling out, and the net effect is ambiguous and very little of their true desires ever manifest.

We’re creating viewer supported news. Become a member! Click Here!

This point is eloquently hammered home by the renowned Law of Attraction teacher Abraham (as channeled by Esther Hicks) when he said — When you no longer split your flow of energy with contradictory thoughts, you will know your power.

Before we dive into the power of the spoken word and how to apply it deliberately and effectively I wanted to give you a little bit of the back-story of how I discovered my creatorship and the power of the spoken word.

Discovering My Creatorship

In the time since my “awakening” in the spring of 2014, the correlation between my thoughts, intentions, and desires and what shows up in my life has been blatantly obvious.  One of the strange things that started happening during the early stages of my awakening, before I figured out what the heck was going on, was an amazing amount of synchronicities (very convenient “coincidences”) and lots of “good luck.”

My rational mind found it very strange because It didn’t seem like it should be possible to be that lucky.  It seemed like some kind of magic was going on or I was graced by the universe.

Invisible Government Controls Our Minds with a Thought Prison | Light On Conspiracies – Revealing the Agenda

Invisible Government Controls Our Minds with a Thought Prison | Light On Conspiracies – Revealing the Agenda

25-12-17 11:17:00,

“Who are the men who without our realizing it, give us our ideas, tell us whom to admire and whom to despise, what to believe about the ownership of public utilities, about the tariff, about the price of rubber, about the Dawes Plan, about immigration; who tell us how our houses should be designed, what furniture we should put in them, what menus we should serve on our table, what kind of shirts we must wear, what sports we should indulge in, what plays we should see, what charities we should support, what pictures we should admire, what slang we should affect, what jokes we should laugh at?” ~ Edward Bernays, Propaganda

We Are Creating Viewer Supported News! Become a Member! Click Here.

Authored by Edward Bernays and published in 1928, the book Propaganda still holds its position as the gold standard for influencing and manipulating public behavior. Drawing on his expertise in psychology while using the language of manipulation, Bernays pioneered social engineering via mass media, and his work lives on in the distorted, statist, consumer world we have today.

But who are the ones behind the curtain telling us what to think by directing our attention onto the things which serve interests?

Interestingly, chapter III of Propaganda is titled, “The New Propagandists,” and is devoted to explaining why the controls for mass manipulation are so closely guarded by a relatively tiny elite who sit in the shadows, out of the public eye, choosing what we are to see and to think, even controlling the politicians we elect to represent us.

If we set out to make a list of the men and women who, because of their position in public life, might fairly be called the molders of public opinion we could quickly arrive at an extended list of persons mentioned in “Who’s Who…”

Such a list would comprise several thousand persons. But it is well known that many of these leaders are themselves led, sometimes by persons whose names are known to few.

Such persons typify in the public mind the type of ruler associated with the phrase invisible government.

An invisible government of corporate titans and behind the scenes influencers whose mark on culture cannot be understated today.

Government Agencies ACTUALLY Admit Poisoning By Vaccines In ICD-9 | Light On Conspiracies – Revealing the Agenda

Government Agencies ACTUALLY Admit Poisoning By Vaccines In ICD-9 | Light On Conspiracies – Revealing the Agenda

25-12-17 11:12:00,

By Catherine J. Frompovich

What is ICD-9, you probably are asking.  Well, it’s the official International Classification of Diseases, Ninth Edition, used to assign codes to diagnose and procedures associated with hospital utilization in the United States [1], and published by none other than the U.S. CDC.  See chart below.

We’re creating viewer supported news. Become a member! Click Here!

You will note from the listing how many poisonings and other adverse effects by or from vaccines are listed along with their ICD-9 codes.  Why weren’t those codes used when infants, toddlers and teens were taken to emergency rooms by parents who say their children were compromised by vaccines?

Note none other than U.S. CDC’s Centers for Medicare and Medicaid published that defining information!

However, in trying to research the current ICD-10, there seems to be some ‘sanitation efforts’ going on of the incriminating information regarding vaccines causing poisoning!  Hmmm.

So, if the fact vaccines can and do poison was an accepted and published admission by the CDC for specific medical insurance coding reasons why, then, is everyone in Big Pharma, medical doctors, FDA, pharmacists and vaccine pushers, and the media so doggone upset about parents, guardians and affected individuals talking about, documenting and reporting their experiences, plus independent vaccine data/information researchers exercising their constitutional rights to free speech

Good question?  How about “active censorship” and/or suppression of our rights to self-determination?

Moreover, what’s happened to parents’ rights to protect and preserve their children’s health from being poisoned by aluminum in any of four formulations; ethylmercury in Thimerosal; polyethylene glycol (a chemical used in antifreeze); and all the other toxic chemicals [2] (read the laundry list of chemicals in vaccines); plus foreign DNA—AND genetically modified Nano-particles / Nano-particulates indiscriminately syringed into newborns, infants, toddlers, and teens?

We’re creating viewer supported news. Become a member! Click Here!

Why do I say “indiscriminately syringed”?

Because from all the research I’ve done on vaccines data/demographics since the mid-1980s—yes the mid-1980s!—I’ve never found any studies confirm the following:

  1. Cumulative effects of all vaccine ingredients in just one vaccine
  2. Cumulative effects of multiple vaccines’ [up to 9]ingredients given at one time
  3. CDC/FDA studies confirming health safety short- or long-term for any vaccine;

Bitcoin, Blockchain and the Future of Europe – Interviewed by Tom Upchurch for WIRED

Bitcoin, Blockchain and the Future of Europe – Interviewed by Tom Upchurch for WIRED

25-12-17 11:10:00,

In an exclusive interview with WIRED, Yanis Varoufakis discusses Bitcoin’s bubble, the fantasy of apolitical money and the opportunities for the blockchain to reform Europe.
By TOM UPCHURCH

Saturday 23 December 2017

When I first met Yanis Varoufakis in the summer of 2014, he was a highly respected but relatively obscure economist. Back then, the price of one bitcoin fluctuated around $440. Fast-forward three years and his career has followed a similar trajectory to bitcoin’s valuation. Both have experienced a meteoric rise in popularity, characterised by high-drama and volatility. Varoufakis would be thrust into the limelight as Greece’s finance minister; battling the austerity programme put forward by the Troika and today pursues the lofty ambition of trying to reform Europe. Reaching similar heights, just two weeks ago the price of one bitcoin broke $20,000 for the first time.

Varoufakis may have been one of the very first senior political leaders to explore the use of blockchain-based payments for a national economy. At the height of Greece’s financial crisis, he developed a plan for creating a peer-to-peer parallel payments system, based on the blockchain. Yet he wants to make one point very clear: “I was never impressed by bitcoin itself; but from the beginning I was saying that blockchain is a remarkable solution to problems that we have not even imagined yet.”

As bitcoin’s price continues to fluctuate, it has come under a steady barrage of criticism. Varoufakis is no less damning of the cryptocurrency but on very different grounds.

Bitcoin is “the perfect bubble”

Citing the 17th Century Dutch financial bubble in tulip bulbs, Varoufakis sees bitcoin’s current valuation as, “the perfect tulip bubble.” His explanation is simple. “Just take a look at two graphs. Graph one is a time-series of the dollar price of bitcoin, which has been growing exponentially. Graph two is the number of transactions and the quantity of goods and services that are sold and purchased by bitcoins.” The juxtaposition between these two graphs, suggests that the price of bitcoin is grossly inflated relative to its actual use. This leaves Varoufakis to conclude that, “without a shadow of a doubt, this valuation is the perfect bubble.”

What is driving the belief behind bitcoin? Some suggest that bitcoin is becoming a “safe haven” from national fiat currencies,

Google and the Birth of a Digital God? – The Globalist

Google and the Birth of a Digital God? – The Globalist

25-12-17 11:03:00,

The techno-optimism of Google – now called Alphabet – is as limitless as it is alarming.

Sooner or later, the premise goes, the search engine company that is spreading its wings ever wider to insert itself into every nook and cranny of our planet, will solve all the problems of humanity. This story underpins virtually every single news release issued by the company.

This is no abstract or poetic matter – quite the opposite. Search engines know almost everything about us. It wasn’t always this way, but we have been living in a very real Big Brother world for quite some time now.

George Orwell’s dystopian novel “1984,” written in 1948, was meant as a warning. More and more often, however, one gets the feeling that the bestseller was actually used as an instruction manual.

Today’s data-driven world has two main principles: “Data is the new oil” and “Knowledge is power.” Little by little, and almost unnoticed, this has created a fundamentally new society.

As underscored by the emergence of Bitcoin, there is a new currency: “Data.” It literally replaces classical money. But this is not all.

Is Google now creating a digital God?

With its Loon project, a project to provide Internet access in remote areas by means of high-altitude balloons, the company tries to be omnipresent. With its search engine, language assistants and measurement sensors in our rooms, Google wants to be omniscient, too.

While the company is not yet omnipotent, it is at least answering 95% of our questions. And with personalized information, Google is increasingly steering our thinking and actions.

Furthermore, the Calico project – a project to combat aging and related diseases – is trying to make people immortal. Sounds good, but wouldn’t Google become the judge over life and death in an ‘over-populated’ world?

Nevertheless, some already seem to dream of a digital God who will guide our human destiny, and propose to establish artificial intelligence as religion. But what for some is the invention of God through human ingenuity must be the ultimate blasphemy for Christians – sort of the rise of the antichrist.

Democracy under threat

While this process is unfolding, democracy is becoming a collateral damage. It is defamed as outdated technology.

NYT: “What to Get Theresa May for Christmas?” Answer: Adults in the Room!

NYT: “What to Get Theresa May for Christmas?” Answer: Adults in the Room!

25-12-17 11:02:00,

LONDON — If Santa is listening, here’s a suggestion about what to deliver Prime Minister Theresa May of Britain and David Davis, her chief Brexit negotiator: a copy of Yanis Varoufakis’s “Adults in the Room.”

Mr. Varoufakis is the former Greek finance minister and his book sets out in excruciating detail the story of the 2015 negotiations between Greece’s government and its creditors. It feels like necessary reading for the Brexit team.

Last week, European Union leaders agreed that sufficient progress had been made on the first phase of the Brexit negotiations to move on to the next phase, which will set out future trade relations between Britain and the European Union. The first phase revolved around three main issues: payment of what Britain owes the European Union; the rights of European Union citizens in post-Brexit Britain; and what kind of border should exist between Northern Ireland, which will be outside the union, and the Republic of Ireland, which will be inside.

In the nine months of negotiations so far, there has been remarkably little give and take. What Britain agreed to last week was largely what Europe had demanded at the beginning.

European Union citizens’ rights have been largely protected, with Britain agreeing that its courts will take into account rulings of the European Court of Justice, the European Union’s supreme legal body. The money being paid by Britain for the divorce is less than what some politicians on the Continent were hoping for, but about double what was first offered.

On the Irish border, the two sides have agreed that there will be no border with passport and customs checks — but also that the details will be left to later talks. If there is no mutually agreeable solution, then Britain has promised to maintain “regulatory alignment” with the European Union to ensure that customs checks aren’t necessary, even though Britain will have no say over those regulations. A country that voted for Brexit as a way to “take back control” will be acceding even more control to the European Union.

All this is as Mr. Varoufakis might have predicted. In the wake of the financial crash of 2008, the Greek economy had imploded.

The Islamic State (ISIS), the Pentagon’s “Caliphate Project” and the “Global War on Terrorism” | Global Research – Centre for Research on Globalization

24-12-17 09:26:00,

This article was first published by Global Research in July 2014

The Al Qaeda legend and the threat of the “Outside Enemy” is sustained through extensive media and government propaganda.

In the post 9/11 era, the terrorist threat from Al Qaeda constitutes the building block of US-NATO military doctrine. It justifies –under a humanitarian mandate– the conduct of “counter-terrorism operations” Worldwide.

Known and documented, Al Qaeda affiliated entities have been used by US-NATO in numerous conflicts as “intelligence assets” since the heyday of the Soviet-Afghan war. In Syria, the Al Nusrah and ISIS rebels are the foot-soldiers of the Western military alliance, which in turn oversees and controls the recruitment and training of paramilitary forces.

While the US State Department is accusing several countries of “harboring terrorists”, America is the Number One “State Sponsor of Terrorism”: The Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) –which operates in both Syria and Iraq– is covertly supported and financed by the US and its allies including Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Moreover, the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham’s Sunni caliphate project coincides with a longstanding US agenda to carve up both Iraq and Syria into separate territories: A Sunni Islamist Caliphate, an Arab Shia Republic, a Republic of Kurdistan, among others.

The US-led Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) constitutes the cornerstone of US military doctrine. “Going after Islamic terrorists” is part and parcel of non-conventional warfare. The underlying objective is to justify the conduct of counter-terrorism operations Worldwide, which enables the US and its allies to intervene in the affairs of sovereign countries.

Many progressive writers, including alternative media, while focusing on recent developments in Iraq, fail to understand the logic behind the “Global War on Terrorism.” The Islamic State of Iraq and Al Cham (ISIS) is often considered as an “independent entity” rather than an instrument of the Western military alliance. Moreover, many committed anti-war activists –who oppose the tenets of  the US-NATO military agenda– will nonetheless endorse Washington’s counter-terrorism agenda directed against Al Qaeda:. The Worldwide terrorist threat is  considered to be “real”: “We are against the war, but we support the Global War on Terrorism”.

The Caliphate Project and The US National Intelligence Council Report

A new gush of propaganda has been set in motion.

Big Pharma and Big Profits: The Multibillion Dollar Vaccine Market | Global Research – Centre for Research on Globalization

Big Pharma and Big Profits: The Multibillion Dollar Vaccine Market | Global Research – Centre for Research on Globalization

24-12-17 09:25:00,

First published on January 27, 2016

The business of vaccines is soon to become a major source of profits for the world’s largest pharmaceutical corporations. A press release (Business Wire, January 21st 2016) published by marketwatch.com says that Technavio, one of the leading technology research and advisory companies in the world predicts that pharmaceutical corporations who produce vaccines will reach an estimated $61 billion in profits by 2020.

Today the vaccine market is worth close to $24 billion. The report titled ‘Global Human Vaccines Market 2016-2020’ gives an “in-depth analysis” of the possible revenues and “emerging market trends” globally. According to the Press Release:

The report study indicates that the introduction of new products is fueling the growth of the market. Moreover, the significant expansion of the current product offerings is also expected to boost the market growth. Due to the increasing prevalence rates of various infectious diseases such as diphtheria, influenza, hepatitis, pneumococcal diseases, and meningococcal diseases, there has been a notable increase in the use of vaccines across the globe

What is interesting about the report is that Pharmaceutical corporations are targeting Latin America and the Caribbean with its new vaccines soon to be on the market. Merck & Co, Pfizer and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) are expected to dominate Latin America and the Caribbean (Puerto Rico currently operates as a manufacturing hub for Merck, Pfizer and Abbott Laboratories):

In terms of geography, the Americas dominated the global human vaccines market in 2015, accounting for about 45% of the total revenue. The US was the largest revenue contributor to this region in the same year, capturing a significant portion of the global market. The Americas will continue to dominate the human vaccines market during the forecast period because of the increase in the prevalence of infectious diseases and cancers. In addition, increase in strategic alliances with expected entry of novel vaccines, is also expected to propel the growth of the market in this region

The report also says that there are two types of human vaccines, Therapeutic (cancer, metabolic disorders, chronic illnesses, and infectious diseases) and Preventable human vaccines markets (pediatric vaccinations) that are estimated to reach $55 billion worldwide. The Atlantic magazine published an article in 2015 titled ‘Vaccines Are Profitable,

More than a decade and a half after the US-NATO- under international law illegal – war aggression against Yugoslavia using highly toxic and radioactive uranium projectiles, the enormity of this war crime becomes clear: In Serbia, aggressive cancer among young and old has reached epidemic proportions.

The suffering of the people cries out to heaven. Particularly affected is the south of Serbia and Kosovo. According to the Serbian Ministry of Health, every day a child suffers from cancer. The entire country is contaminated. By harming the genetic material (DNA) generation after generation,  malformed children will be born. Knowingly and willfully, a genocide was committed. Until recently, with the help of the media, politicians have withheld the truth from unsettled citizens under pressure from the perpetrators of the genocide. Brave and responsible physicians, former military officials, ex-politicians and scientists have now succeeded in breaking this wall of silence for the benefit of the Serbian people and the many other peoples of the world who share their fate.

Depleted Uranium weapons are weapons of mass destruction

When the US used the defoliant agent “Agent Orange” and napalm in Vietnam, the world was appalled. This was no longer war, it was slaughter of the civilian population and sustainable destruction of nature. 50 years later, generation after generation comes to this world severely handicapped (disabled)- born to die. However the arms industry, including the nuclear weapons industry, has been developing its business rapidly since Vietnam. All wars are, according to the legal norms of the Nuremberg Tribunal, illegal wars of aggression and they are becoming increasingly murderous, sneaky, more widespread, (and) more genocidal. So also the first war of the US-NATO on European soil against Yugoslavia 1999. Here, under tacit tolerance of NATO allies – including Germany – the US Army used a weapon of mass destruction which they have already tested in the second Gulf War in 1991 and in Bosnia-Herzegovina 1994/95: highly toxic and radioactive uranium weapons. NATO itself has admitted firing 30,000 missiles with Depleted Uranium (DU), while the Serbian military speaks of 50,000. That corresponds to 10 to 15 tons of uranium.

Since already extensive scientific literature and film footage (“deadly dust”) of this war crime are available in German,

It felt like a long time to go when, in 2012, then-Chancellor George Osborne meekly warned that the economy was “healing” more slowly than anticipated and that austerity may last until 2018.

Now 2018 is around the corner and instead of Britain seeing light at the end of the long and painful austerity tunnel, it’s clear following the Conservative government’s Autumn Budget that the age of austerity is far from over — and that the inequality gap in the world’s sixth richest country is widening.

Far from achieving Prime Minister Theresa May’s promises to tackle Britain’s “burning injustices”, several key members of her Social Mobility Commission (SMC) recently resigned in protest over the lack of progress towards “making Britain fairer”. Alan Milburn, a Labour politician and chair of the SMC, which monitors the progress of improving social mobility in the UK, quit the Commission earlier this month along with his whole team, citing months of “indecision, dysfunctionality and lack of leadership” and stating there was “little hope” that May’s administration would deliver a more equal society.

The humiliating SMC resignations came just days after the release of Chancellor Hammond’s Autumn Budget, which led multiple reports and organizations to warn that amid a gloomy economic forecast, Britain would maintain devastating cuts to public spending while, in typical Tory fashion, hitting the poorest households the hardest.

The Resolution Foundation, an independent think tank aimed at improving living standards for low- and middle-income families, is one organization that has voiced such warnings. In its aptly titled post-Budget report, “Freshly Squeezed”, the Foundation warns that Britain is on course for its longest fall in living standards since records began in the 1950s.

Neoliberalism and The Globalization of War. US-NATO Forces on Russia’s Doorstep | Global Research – Centre for Research on Globalization

23-12-17 07:38:00,

This GRTV interview was first published in June 2016.

America’s hegemonic project is to destabilize and destroy countries through acts of war, covert operations in support of terrorist organizations, regime change and economic warfare. The latter includes the imposition of deadly macro-economic reforms on indebted countries as well the manipulation of financial markets, the engineered  collapse of national currencies, the privatization of State property, the imposition of economic sanctions, the triggering of inflation and black markets.

As NATO forces conduct full-scale military exercises on Russia’s doorstep, the world’s attention once again turns to Eastern Europe.

But as Professor Michel Chossudovsky, author of Towards A World War III Scenario and The Globalization of War points out, in this era of total warfare the real threat is not just a military one and its scope is truly global.

The US has embarked on a military adventure, “a long war”, which threatens the future of humanity. US-NATO weapons of mass destruction are portrayed as instruments of peace. Mini-nukes are said to be “harmless to the surrounding civilian population”. Pre-emptive nuclear war is portrayed as a “humanitarian undertaking”.

While one can conceptualize the loss of life and destruction resulting from present-day wars including Iraq and Afghanistan, it is impossible to fully comprehend the devastation which might result from a Third World War, using “new technologies” and advanced weapons, until it occurs and becomes a reality. The international community has endorsed nuclear war in the name of world peace. “Making the world safer” is the justification for launching a military operation which could potentially result in a nuclear holocaust.

America’s hegemonic project in the post 9/11 era is the “Globalization of War” whereby the U.S.-NATO military machine —coupled with covert intelligence operations, economic sanctions and the thrust of “regime change”— is deployed in all major regions of the world. The threat of pre-emptive nuclear war is also used to black-mail countries into submission.

This “Long War against Humanity” is carried out at the height of the most serious economic crisis in modern history.
