The First Signs Of The Collapse Of Europe’s Economy, Democratic Rights And Freedom

“War is freedom, freedom is slavery and ignorance is power” – George Orwell, 1984. The phase we are in now is obedience and submission where leaders without conscience and money rule the European countries.

A Warning

April 4,1984, G.O.writes (page 14): ”Last night to the cinema. All war movies. Very good movie of a refugee ship bombed somewhere in the Mediterranean sea. The audience laughed terribly at a big fat man trying to swim away with some kind of helicopter after him. Then you saw – some kind of helicopter – fire at him. The audience roared with laughter. Then came a lifeboat full of children and another sort of helicopter above them that dropped a bomb of at least 20 kilos. A woman complained to the audience that it was inhumane to shoot children. She got into an argument, the police came and took her away, protest is not allowed in 1984”.

This was the prelude to the current situation, wars everywhere. Europe participated in many illegal wars and still does, which creates refugees. As we know now, the refugee business is booming in Europe, five billionEuro is at stake, so any government in the EU who is against it is a pariah and must be removed. The NGOs who get them ashore are paid, not indirectly, by the EU, like Amnesty and some other rescue organizations which are subsidized by the EU. It was not a coincidence that the 2015 migrant crisis was planned and funded just like ISIS (Daesh) in Syria and Iraq. Southern Italy and Spain got their slave workers, so the EU (rich) citizens could eat their daily portion of fruit and vegetables.

Then came COVID-19, a pandemic, they call it. Sure, there is a virus, no doubt about that. Dangerous? Sure, all viruses are dangerous, especially for the elderly and the sick. Any responsible politician would say we will protect our own sick and elderly, but to shut down the whole economy? By doing this, you create more danger, the collapse of your own country,

Trump Signs Corporate Bailout Bill: A Measure That Will Live in Infamy – Global Research

trump-signs-corporate-bailout-bill:-a-measure-that-will-live-in-infamy-–-global-research

28-03-20 04:52:00,

Congress, the Trump regime, and Wall Street owned and operated Fed conspired to hand monied interests trillions of dollars of free money.

Ordinary people are getting crumbs when millions are being laid off at a time of growing economic duress along with a public health emergency.

They need substantial help, including medical care, but aren’t getting it from Washington’s criminal class.

Both of its right wings are indifferent toward ordinary people at all times, including when help is most needed.

This week, Congress rammed through an economic stimulus package that features bailouts for corporate America and large investors, ordinary people getting short shrift.

The measure was unanimously passed by the Senate, the House by voice vote, in both chambers with minimal debate.

According to Americans for Tax Fairness, the bill largely benefits business, saying:

It’s “ill-focused and unnecessarily costly, spending a lot of taxpayer dollars to aid companies that may not be particularly impacted by the economic emergency.”

The Tax Policy Center explained that “payments to as many as 150 million households” may take “months” to arrive when help is needed now.

Self-styled progressive Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez slammed the measure during House debate, but did nothing to stall the measure by demanding a roll call vote to improve it for ordinary Americans.

Nor did other House and Senate progressives in name only, notably Bernie Sanders.

He failed to demand greater help for Americans in need instead of a “no-strings-attached bailout to corporate CEOs and bankers on Wall Street” he rhetorically opposed, then voted to hand them hundreds of billions of dollars of free money.

Right-wing Republican Thomas Massie alone tried and failed to force a voice vote. Trump called him a “third rate grandstander.”

“Throw Massie out” of the party, he tweeted. The ghost of John Kerry reappeared, slamming Massie via Twitter as follows:

“Breaking news: Congressman Massie has tested positive for being an a..hole. He must be quarantined to prevent the spread of his massive stupidity (sic).”

“He’s given new meaning to the term #Masshole. (Finally, something the president and I can agree on!)”

Both right wings of the one-party state support privileged interests at the expense of peace,

More Signs the Next Big Financial Crisis May Begin in Germany

more-signs-the-next-big-financial-crisis-may-begin-in-germany

By Lubomir Tassev

Germany, the locomotive of Europe’s huge economy, is entering a difficult period, various indicators suggest. And when the Federal Republic sneezes, the Old Continent usually catches a cold. This time, Germany may infect the rest of the world as well. Regulators in the country are busy drafting prohibitions, and now also seem to target cryptocurrencies. A German economic and financial crisis would be a seismic event of global proportions, affecting all markets. The main question now seems to be when it will happen, not if.

Biggest Drop In a Decade – German Industry Is Hurting

The industrial powerhouse of the Eurozone and the greater European Union is now seeing a significant decline in production – by 2.7% year-on-year in January and 1.9% in April compared to the previous month. Then in May, factory orders declined 2.2% from a month ago and registered an 8.6% annual drop, the biggest in a decade. In the first half of 2019, even beer sales were down 2.7%, according to Destatis, the Federal Statistical Office.

More Signs the Next Big Financial Crisis May Begin in Germany

International trade wars and geopolitical uncertainty in the region and beyond are negatively affecting the German economy, which relies heavily on exports. They form almost half of the country’s annual economic output. Germany is Europe’s leading exporter of goods and it ranks third among the largest exporters in the world, after China and the United States.

Several factors have been hurting German exports which registered an annual decrease of 0.5% in April. Demand from China, which is a major market for German products, has been weakening due to slowing growth. U.S. tariffs on steel and aluminum are also a major concern and the Trump administration is now considering whether to impose tariffs on European cars. The steepest slide in orders has been in the auto industry. Then there’s the upcoming Brexit divorce Germany has to deal with as well.

Short Working Weeks Are Back

Against this backdrop, a growing number of German companies are reintroducing short-time work schemes, the kind that were implemented during the last global financial crisis to mitigate its impact on industrial enterprises and their workforce. According to a survey conducted by the Munich-based Ifo Institute for Economic Research,

DOJ and FBI Show No Signs of Correcting Past Untruths in Their New Attacks on Encryption

doj-and-fbi-show-no-signs-of-correcting-past-untruths-in-their-new-attacks-on-encryption

31-07-19 09:07:00,

By Andrew Crocker

Last week, Attorney General William Barr and FBI Director Christopher Wray chose to spend some of their time giving speeches demonizing encryption and calling for the creation of backdoors to allow the government access to encrypted data. You should not spend any of your time listening to them.

Don’t be mistaken; the threat to encryption remains high. Australia and the United Kingdom already have laws in place that can enable those governments to undermine encryption, while other countries may follow. And it’s definitely dangerous when senior U.S. law enforcement officials talk about encryption the way Barr and Wray did.

The reason to ignore these speeches is that DOJ and FBI have not proven themselves credible on this issue. Instead, they have a long track record of exaggeration and even false statements in support of their position. That should be a bar to convincing anyone—especially Congress—that government backdoors are a good idea.

Barr expressed confidence in the tech sector’s “ingenuity” to design a backdoor for law enforcement that will stand up to any unauthorized access, paying no mind to the broad technical and academic consensus in the field that this risk is unavoidable. As the prominent cryptographer and Johns Hopkins University computer science professor Matt Green pointed out on Twitter, the Attorney General made sweeping, impossible-to-support claims that digital security would be largely unaffected by introducing new backdoors. Although Barr paid the barest lip service to the benefits of encryption—two sentences in a 4,000 word speech—he ignored numerous ways encryption protects us all, including preserving not just digital but physical security for the most vulnerable users.

For all of Barr and Wray’s insistence that encryption poses a challenge to law enforcement, you might expect that that would be the one area where they’d have hard facts and statistics to back up their claims, but you’d be wrong. Both officials asserted it’s a massive problem, but they largely relied on impossible-to-fact-check stories and counterfactuals. If the problem is truly as big as they say, why can’t they provide more evidence? One answer is that prior attempts at proof just haven’t held up.

EU Parliament Signs Off On Disastrous Internet Law: What Happens Next?

eu-parliament-signs-off-on-disastrous-internet-law-what-happens-next

27-03-19 07:39:00,

Authored by Danny O’Brien via The Electronic Frontier Foundation,

In a stunning rejection of the will five million online petitioners, and over 100,000 protestors this weekend, the European Parliament has abandoned common-sense and the advice of academics, technologists, and UN human rights experts, and approved the Copyright in the Digital Single Market Directive in its entirety.

There’s now little that can stop these provisions from becoming the law of the land across Europe. It’s theoretically possible that the final text will fail to gain a majority of member states’ approval when the European Council meets later this month, but this would require at least one key country to change its mind. Toward that end, German and Polish activists are already re-doubling their efforts to shift their government’s key votes.

If that attempt fails, the results will be drawn-out, and chaotic. Unlike EU Regulations like the GDPR, which become law on passage by the central EU institutions, EU Directives have to be transposed: written into each member country’s national law. Countries have until 2021 to transpose the Copyright Directive, but EU rarely keeps its members to that deadline, so it could take even longer.

Unfortunately, it is likely that the first implementation of the Directive will come from the countries who have most enthusiastically supported its passage. France’s current batch of national politicians have consistently advocated for the worst parts of the Directive, and the Macron administration may seek to grab an early win for the country’s media establishment.

Countries whose polity were more divided will no doubt take longer. In Poland, politicians were besieged by angry voters wanting them to vote down the Directive, while simultaneously facing brazen denunciations from national and local newspaper owners warning that they would “not forget” any politician who voted against Article 11. The passing of the Directive will still leave that division between the Polish people and the media establishment, with politicians struggling to find a domestic solution that won’t damage their prospects with either group.

The rhetoric in Germany in the last few days was not much better. German politicians claimed with straight faces that the tech companies had paid this weekend’s protestors to march on the streets.

28 Signs That the West Coast Is Being Absolutely Fried with Nuclear Radiation from Fukushima – Global Research

Note: 7 years after the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster, we bring to the attention of our readers this piece originally published in October 2013. The situation today is far more serious that what is described in this article.

The map below comes from the Nuclear Emergency Tracking Center.  It shows that radiation levels at radiation monitoring stations all over the country are elevated.  As you will notice, this is particularly true along the west coast of the United States.  Every single day, 300 tons of radioactive water from Fukushima enters the Pacific Ocean.  That means that the total amouont of radioactive material released from Fukushima is constantly increasing, and it is steadily building up in our food chain.

Ultimately, all of this nuclear radiation will outlive all of us by a very wide margin.  They are saying that it could take up to 40 years to clean up the Fukushima disaster, and meanwhile countless innocent people will develop cancer and other health problems as a result of exposure to high levels of nuclear radiation.  We are talking about a nuclear disaster that is absolutely unprecedented, and it is constantly getting worse.  The following are 28 signs that the west coast of North America is being absolutely fried with nuclear radiation from Fukushima…

Fukushima Radiation

1. Polar bears, seals and walruses along the Alaska coastline are suffering from fur loss and open sores

Wildlife experts are studying whether fur loss and open sores detected in nine polar bears in recent weeks is widespread and related to similar incidents among seals and walruses.

The bears were among 33 spotted near Barrow, Alaska, during routine survey work along the Arctic coastline. Tests showed they had “alopecia, or loss of fur, and other skin lesions,” the U.S. Geological Survey said in a statement.

2. There is an epidemic of sea lion deaths along the California coastline…

At island rookeries off the Southern California coast, 45 percent of the pups born in June have died, said Sharon Melin, a wildlife biologist for the National Marine Fisheries Service based in Seattle.

The EU and the warning signs of Fascism

the-eu-and-the-warning-signs-of-fascism

Things are spiralling out of control in Europe, faster than many predicted. Outside of Brexit, there is strong anti-EU feeling in Hungary, Spain, Italy, Greece and France. The EU is in danger of crumbling, and people afraid of losing power are prone to extreme acts of dictatorial control.

How long before the EU truly becomes the authoritarian force that people from both ends of the political spectrum have always feared?

The EU Defence Force

Earlier this year, the EU voted to “punish” one of its own members, Hungary, for the internal policies of its elected government. To be clear about this – whatever you think of Viktor Orban, he was elected by the people of Hungary. He is their legally recognised democratic leader. Hungary voted for him – in contrast, Hungary did NOT vote for any of the 448 MEPs who supported the motion, posed by Dutch MEP Judith Sargentini, that:

The Hungarian people deserve better…They deserve freedom of speech, non-discrimination, tolerance, justice and equality, all of which are enshrined in the European treaties.”

Note that “democracy” is not included on that list. “Tolerance”, “justice” and “equality”, but not democracy. A Freudian slip, perhaps.

The European Parliament vote was, itself, a corrupt nonsense – one in which abstentions were disregarded so the 2/3rds majority could be reached. Forcing through a bill that, essentially, calls for a change of regime in Hungary via:

appropriate measures to restore inclusive democracy, the rule of law and respect for fundamental rights in Hungary”

One suggested punishment – “The Nuclear Option” – is a loss of voting rights. Hungary would still be a member of the EU, would still have to pay into the EU, would still have to obey all EU laws and regulations, but would no longer have a say in what those laws were.

This would, notionally, be in defence of “inclusive democracy”.

How long before disapproval and punishment of certain leaders turns into outright removal? Can we really say that would never happen?

This month, Paris (and other French cities) have seen the massive Gilets Jaunes protests against the fuel tax,

11 Signs That The US Economy Is Starting To Slow Down Dramatically

11-signs-that-the-us-economy-is-starting-to-slow-down-dramatically

14-11-18 10:17:00,

Authored by Michael Snyder via The Economic Collapse blog,

The pace at which things are changing is shocking the experts.

Just a few months ago, many of the experts were still talking about how the U.S. economy was “booming”, but since then a major shift has taken place.  Most of the headlines have been about the huge stock market declines that we have been witnessing, but things have not been going well for the real economy either.  Home sales are way down, auto sales are plummeting, the retail apocalypse is escalating, the middle class continues to shrink and economic optimism is rapidly evaporating.  We haven’t seen anything like this since 2008, and many believe that the economic downturn that is now upon us will ultimately be even worse than what we experienced a decade ago.

The following are 11 signs that the U.S. economy is starting to slow down dramatically…

#1 When economic activity is rising, demand for oil increases, and oil prices tend to go up.  But when economic activity is slowing down, demand for oil diminishes, and oil prices tend to go down.  That is why what is happening to the price of oil right now is so alarming

US oil prices plummeted 7% to a one-year low of $55.69 a barrel on Tuesday. It was crude’s worst day since September 2015.

The losses in the oil world have been staggering as worries deepen about excess supply. Crude is down 12 straight days, the longest losing streak since futures trading began in March 1983.

#2 One new poll has found that only 13 percent of Americans plan to buy a home in the next year.  That number has fallen for three quarters in a row, and it is now down by almost half over the last twelve months.

#3 As the market dries up, the inventory of unsold homes is absolutely soaringnationwide…

With that in mind, it comes as no surprise that inventory countywide soared 86% among single-family homes and 188% among condos in October compared to a year prior, according to newly published data by the Northwest Multiple Listing Service.

10 signs that America is in MUCH worse trouble than we all thought

10 signs that America is in MUCH worse trouble than we all thought

31-07-18 02:43:00,

Our cities are becoming cesspools, our nation is falling apart all around us, and it seems like the number of sick, twisted and depraved people is multiplying.

We still have a relatively high standard of living for the moment, but the only reason we can maintain that standard of living is because we are on the greatest debt binge in human history. And once that bubble bursts, I fear for what this nation is going to become, because things are getting really bad out there.

The following are 10 signs that America is in much worse trouble than we all thought…

#1 America is “the most dangerous country in the developed world to give birth in”

We all know that our healthcare system is rapidly deteriorating, but I figured that the U.S. would be at least in the middle of the pack when it comes to women dying during childbirth. Sadly, I was completely wrong

The U.S. is the most dangerous country in the developed world to give birth in according to a report.

About 50,000 women are “severely injured” during childbirth, and about 700 women die every year. Half of these deaths could have been prevented, as could the injuries, if correct safety procedures had been followed, according to an investigation by USA Today.

#2 America is absolutely teeming with sexual predators

When I read stories like the one I am about to share with you, it makes me want to vomit. According to a report that was just released, more than 300 “predator priests” were identified in just 6 Pennsylvania dioceses

A landmark grand jury report identifies more than 300 “predator priests” in six of Pennsylvania’s Roman Catholic dioceses, the state Supreme Court said Friday in ordering the findings released. (Tap here to read the court ruling.)

The justices said the report on clergy child sexual abuse going back decades and allegations of cover-up efforts will be made public but without the names or “individual specific information” of priests and others who have challenged the findings, at least in the initial version to be released.
