BC stands for NEO’s Banned Classic. This article was originally published by our journal on 01.10.16 For some reason, this article is missing from Google search results. Since this article remains pretty relevant to those geopolitical events that are taking place on the geopolitical stage today, we deem it possible to present it to our readers once again. Should it go missing again, you may be confident that you will see it republished by NEO once more, should it still remain relevant by that time.

Another day; another terrorist attack: it seems that every day I wake up at the minute there is a new terrorist attack that has shook the European continent, with France being the scene of frequent attacks over the past 19 months. The most recent attack in France (at the time of writing anyway) was on a church in Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray, Normandy, reportedly carried out by two so-called Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists.

One of the assailants is believed to be Adel Kermiche, an individual who was well known to the French authorities. Kermiche was being monitored by police and was wearing an electronic tag at the time of attack, after being arrested twice last year trying to reach Syria to fight for ISIS. The second attacker is reported to be 19-year-old Abdel Malik Petitjean, an individual who was also known to French authorities and was on a terror watch list after trying to enter Syria via Turkey in June.

This came shortly after the Nice attack on the 14th of July, when a truck was driven into crowds celebrating Bastille Day, killing 84 people and injuring over 300. The attack was reportedly carried out by Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel, a Tunisian-born delivery driver who was living in France, with ISIS claiming responsibility for the attack. Similar to many other purported terrorist attackers, Bouhlel was shot dead by police before any questions could be asked. Multiple other individuals have also been arrested in relation to the incident.

More to the Official Story?

With the frequency of terror attacks in Europe, there is often a temptation by many who claim to be in the independent media not to ask logical questions and challenge the official narrative in relation to these incidents.

What the “War on Terror” Really Is, and How to Fight It – Global Research

19-09-19 06:48:00,

First published in December 2015 in the month following the Paris terror attacks

The attacks in Paris on November 13, 2015, and in San Bernardino on December 4, 2015, have provided ample “justification” for authorities to ramp up “The War on Terror.” They were followed by draconian attacks on civil liberties in France. They have spurred escalated imperialist military intervention in the war-torn regions east of the Mediterranean Sea, particularly Syria and Iraq. The US government has moved to officially deploy its Special Operations Forces to “oversee” military assaults in that region by various armed groups. In addition, the intense US government-led bombing campaign launched in September 2014, allegedly aimed at ISIS targets, has been stepped up and has now been joined by the previously hesitant French and British governments.

The war hysteria has been galvanized to a fevered pitch: One particularly delirious hawkish presidential candidate – Ted Cruz – has even called for “carpet bombing” the Iraq-Syria region to destroy ISIS and “find out” if the “sand can glow,” according to the online magazine Politico on December 5, 2015.

The “War on Terror” was launched in 2001. Fourteen years and trillions of dollars later, it is alive and well, and so are the “terrorists.” Moreover, there is not the slightest doubt that these escalated military offensives will neither end the former nor destroy the latter. Meanwhile, the ghastly attacks by ISIS and other such groups provide abundant opportunities for the corporate-owned media and politicians to remind the world’s working-class of the urgency of “The War on Terror,” which Pentagon officials predict will last into the next generation.

Nor is there the slightest doubt, as the evidence below will show, that the US government has fabricated “The War on Terror” to meet US imperialism’s long-term geopolitical goals. The evidence will show that either directly or through its vassal states, the US government is responsible for organizing armed terrorist groups across Asia and has been doing so for decades, causing tens of millions of deaths and injuries. This policy has led to the destruction of Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, and now Yemen, and has already been extended into Africa. (1)

These are not just “wars for oil,” as echoed in the popular refrain.

Rise Of Terror Chemical & Biological Attack Drones: Russian FSB Chief Says Jihadists Have Them

21-05-19 08:30:00,

The head of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has warned that dangerous non-state actors now possess the capability of equipping drones with chemical weapons and biological weapons in order to maximize mass casualty events.

Speaking at a major conference hosting the security agencies of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) on Tuesday, FSB chief Alexander Bortnikov highlighted the ever growing sophisticated and high-tech arsenal of global terrorists, including that The criminals have materials, technology and infrastructure for the production of chemical weapons and biotoxins,” according to one Russian English language report

Israeli drone filmed dropping Tear Gas on Gaza protesters on March 30, 2018.

He specifically highlighted the jihadist threat from the war-torn Middle East in places like Syria and Iraq, where Russia intervened starting in 2015 at the request of Damascus. “Although international terrorist organizations suffered great losses in Syria and Iraq, they still have enough resources, particularly provided by their foreign sponsors, to carry out attacks around the world,” Bortnikov said, according to TASS.

The longtime FSB chief said further that, “large jihadist units have been defeated but now they are trying either to regroup in areas not controlled by the Syrian government or to take shelter in refugee camps.”

He also sounded an alarm which has now for years been a familiar worry for Europe – the return of foreign fighters who had previously traveled illegally to Europe. “We know about intentions of the leaders of international terrorist organisations to use widows, wives and children of militants who come back en mass,” he said.

Among ISIS’ top military leadership, for example, are Russian and Chechen jihadists from Muslim populations along Russia’s peripheries.

The FSB chief’s highlighting of the “chemical drone attack” threat was likely in response to repeat drone attacks on Russia’s main Syrian air base, called Hmeymim air base in Latakia Province, over the past year. As recently as Monday of this week Russia’s Defense Ministry said its forces had repelled yet another drone and missile attack from nearby entrenched Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Nusra Front or al-Qaeda in Syria).

Recent international reports have highlighted ISIS’ capabilities for deploying weaponized Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).

70 Jahre Terror

18-04-19 02:13:00,

US NGO Teams Up with Gulf Terror Sponsor to Target Asia | New Eastern Outlook

04-01-19 09:48:00,

Fortify Rights is one of several fronts posing as nongovernmental organisations (NGOs) operating across Asia.

Such fronts are in actuality extensions of US and European “soft power.” Fully funded by the US, British and various European governments as well as US and European corporate foundations like convicted financial criminal George Soros’ Open Society, Fortify Rights positions itself as self-appointed arbiter regarding human rights, democracy and the rule of law at the heart of the sovereign internal political affairs of nations like Myanmar (still called Burma by many Western media organisations and politicians), Thailand, Bangladesh and Malaysia.

Human Rights Org Partners with State Sponsor of Terrorism…

Recently, Fortify Rights’ founder American Matthew Smith announced a new and “exciting” partnership with Doha Debates. Doha Debates is a project of the Qatar Foundation which in turn was founded by the Al Thani family, the unelected rulers of Qatar, a notorious Middle Eastern dictatorship, abuser of human rights and state sponsor of terrorism.

The “exciting” partnership between Fortify Rights (a supposed human rights advocacy group) and the Qatari front “Doha Debates” is particularly troubling considering the area of cooperation involves Myanmar’s Muslim Rohingya minority.

On Doha Debates’ website it describes its partnership with Fortify Rights:

Together, Fortify Rights and Doha Debates are training a group of Rohingya refugees on the basics of photography and Instagram, and we are equipping them with mobile phones to document their lives in refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, for an entire year. Through this partnership, Fortify Rights and Doha Debates hope to empower Rohingya refugees to share their stories with the world.

Despite the relatively benign stated nature of this partnership, it is troubling because it signals a possible vector through which money, training and even weapons can pass, behind a “human rights’ façade, inflaming already tense ethnic troubles in Myanmar’s western Rakhine state.

At the very least, influence operations by Fortify Rights and Qatar’s “Doha Debates” could be used to further divide communities along ethnic lines while mounting pressure on Myanmar’s government and military by exploiting the resulting chaos.

Fortify Rights founder Matthew Smith refused to respond to questions of how his supposed cause of advancing human rights is served by partnering with Doha Debates funded by a dictatorship and notorious state sponsor of terrorism.

Price tag of the ‘war on terror’ will top $6 trillion soon

14-11-18 08:25:00,

WASHINGTON — The price tag of the ongoing “war on terror” in the Middle East will likely top $6 trillion next year, and will reach $7 trillion if the conflicts continue into the early 2020s, according to a new report out Wednesday.

The annual Costs of War project report, from the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs at Brown University, puts the full taxpayer burden of fighting in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria over the last 17 years at several times higher than official Defense Department estimates, because it includes increases in Homeland Security and Veterans Affairs spending, as well as new military equipment and personnel.

“Because the nation has tended to focus its attention only on direct military spending, we have often discounted the larger budgetary costs of the post-9/11 wars, and therefore underestimated their greater budgetary and economic significance,” the new report states.

Direct military spending in Iraq and Afghanistan make up nearly $1.8 trillion in costs, but researchers estimate the long-term health care of veterans from those wars could equal or surpass that figure in coming decades.

They also charge that the Defense Department’s base budget has grown more than $900 billion over the last 17 years because of increased missions, recruiting costs and service member benefits brought on by the conflicts overseas.

“High costs in war and war-related spending pose a national security concern because they are unsustainable,” study author Neta Crawford said in the report. “The public would be better served by increased transparency and by the development of a comprehensive strategy to end the wars and deal with other urgent national security priorities.”

She also blasted current U.S. national security policy as “no strategy to end the wars other than more of the same.”

About 23,000 U.S. and NATO forces are currently operating in Afghanistan in a non-combat, training-and-support role. About 14,000 of that group are American troops.

UN Reports Over 8,000 Afghan Civilians Killed in 2018, Mostly Women and Children

October 10, 2018 at 11:24 pm

Written by
(ANTIWAR.COM) — Adding to a growing list of UN reports released recently all showing a surge in Afghan civilian casualties in different manners, a Wednesday report was released showing that civilian deaths are surging from US and Afghan government airstrikes.

This has been ongoing through the year, with a decrease in US airstrikes in Iraq and Syria leading to more warplanes committed to bombings in Afghanistan. More US strikes means more civilians getting hit, meaning the casualty figures are at multi-year highs.
The UN figures show 649 civilian casualties in the US and Afghan airstrikes in 2018’s first nine months. This is 39% more than the same period in 2017, as well as more than the whole of last year. 60% of the casualties are women and children.
All these reports on all these different sorts of civilian casualties caused by the war show a general increase in violence against civilians on all fronts, with no signs of the violence slowing down any time soon.

11-06-18 09:09:00,

Someone was pulling down her sweatpants. It was a male friend. “Stop!” she shouted. He kept groping her. She kicked him and he fell off the bed. She dashed out of the bedroom, tripping and tumbling down the stairs. Gripped with fear, she heard his footsteps behind her in the dark and forced herself to stand upright as she staggered out to the porch. Candice was still intoxicated. She got into her car and drove into a ditch. A white police officer pulled up. She struggled to hold back tears as she told him about the attempted rape. Narco-Corruption, ISIS 3.0, and the Terror Drone Attack That Never Happened

Narco-Corruption, ISIS 3.0, and the Terror Drone Attack That Never Happened

29-05-18 02:49:00,

For almost 20 years, U.S. drone warfare was largely one-sided. Unlike Afghans and Yemenis, Iraqis and Somalis, Americans never had to worry about lethal robots hovering overhead and raining down missiles. Until, that is, one appeared in the skies above Florida.

But that’s a story for later. For now, let’s focus on a 2017 executive order issued by President Trump, part of his second attempt at a travel ban directed primarily at citizens of Muslim-majority nations. It begins: “It is the policy of the United States to protect its citizens from terrorist attacks.”

That sentence would be repeated in a January report from the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), “Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States.” Meant to strengthen the president’s case for the travel ban, it was panned for its methodological flaws, pilloried for its inaccuracies, and would even spur a lawsuit by the civil rights organization, Muslim Advocates, and the watchdog group, Democracy Forward Foundation. In their complaint, those groups contend that the report was “biased, misleading, and incomplete” and “manipulates information to support its anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim conclusions.”

To bolster the president’s arguments for restricting the entry of foreigners into the United States, the DOJ/DHS analysis contained a collection of case summaries. Examples included: the Sudanese national who, in 2016, “pleaded guilty to attempting to provide material support to ISIS”; the Uzbek who “posted a threat on an Uzbek-language website to kill President Obama in an act of martyrdom on behalf of ISIS”; the Syrian who, in a plea agreement, “admitted that he knew a member of ISIS and that while in Syria he participated in a battle against the Syrian regime, including shooting at others, in coordination with Al Nusrah,” an al-Qaeda offshoot.

Such cases cited in the report, hardly spectacular terror incidents, were evidently calculated to sow fears by offering a list of convicted suspects with Muslim-sounding names. But the authors of the report simply looked in the wrong places. They could have found startling summaries of truly audacious attacks against the homeland in a collection of U.S. military documents from 2016 obtained by TomDispatch via the Freedom of Information Act.

The London terror attack of March 22 was fake, says Ole Dammegård. | Light On Conspiracies – Revealing the Agenda

A colleague wrote me today:

Can you remember that a short time ago I told you these terror attacks are orchestrated? Your reaction was: “I don’t buy that”.

In the morning I had published an articleabout a taped interview with investigative journalist Ole Dammegård. He called the London attacks of March 22 fake. The article got a lukewarm reception, whereas I had expected a lot of attention. My colleague explained the discrepancy: the subject is too unfamiliar for many people; the historic context needs to be presented. And then he reminded me about my recent dismissal.

So why had I changed my mind? I had stumbled yesterday on a video with an interview with Ole. At first I thought it would a nonsense piece by a tinfoil hat wearer. But I pretend to dislike information bubbles, so I started watching the video. After 5 minutes my prejudice had faded. At the end of the video Ole had convinced me that there are too many weird details, and an independent investigation would be warranted. And I felt confused for a while.

According to Ole, a number of terror attacks in recent years have been ‘false flag operations’, aimed at seeding fear and division among population groups. In January there had been a car attack in Melbourne. Ole studied the video footage, and concluded after some analysis that a next attack would be at the Big Ben in London. He outed that prediction a month later in a radio show and in his news letter. And it did indeed come true.

Was that just a coincidental hit? Is it a hoax story? Or has Ole hit the unfolding scandal of the century up to now? Are we being manipulated into something, just like with the later admitted lies about Saddams weapons of mass destruction, that enabled so much misery over the Middle East?

In the interview Ole mentions some notable facts about the attack in London, such as victim’s outcast shoes, blades without blood, dismissed observation cameras, a freemasonry helicopter,

“Rain of terror: Egypt to crack down on ‘fake’ weather reports”

Dane Wigington

The unfolding planetary climate collapse is accelerating by the day with covert global climate engineering operations further fueling the overall process. In an ever more desperate attempt to hide the climate engineering assault from their populations, governments are taking draconian steps to completely control the flow of weather related information. Egypt is the latest glaring example of the crackdown on any and all “unauthorized” weather forecasts. Excerpts from a new report from The Guardian, UK, are below.

Donald Trump may routinely rail against the “fake news media”, but Egypt is going one better by cracking down on “fake” weather reports.

Meteorological authority prepares draft law to ban unauthorized forecasts.

Egypt is… cracking down on “fake” weather reports.

The head of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority has said it is the only government body authorized to make predictions about the country’s weather, and is preparing a draft law to ban unauthorized forecasts.

… a draft law… seeks to punish anyone “talking about meteorology”… without consent (of the Egyptian governmental agencies)…

… it reflects the government’s view that it has a right to regulate any and all information, even information that should be a product of apolitical scientific analysis.

The head of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority has said it is the only government body authorized to make predictions about the country’s weather, and is preparing a draft law to ban unauthorized forecasts.

The country (Egypt) has experienced some unusual and extreme weather in recent weeks…

From the illegal federal “gag order” on US  National Weather Service and NOAA employees, to the new weather information crackdown in Egypt, global power centers are increasingly desperate in their attempts to hide the climate engineering atrocities from populations. In the coming days, GeoengineeringWatch.org will publish statement from our legal team that address the US government’s escalating efforts to muzzle weather forecasters. Global “climate intervention” programs are mathematically the greatest and most immediate threat we collectively face short of nuclear cataclysm.
